Honors and Leadership Scholarship Program

Private support from all levels of business and professionals, particularly in the form of scholarships, continues to be a critical element in the University's efforts to provide a skilled workforce in the programs that support the endeavors of the business and professional community.

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi's Honors, Leadership and Needs-based scholarship program is designed to increase the accessibility of higher education to outstanding students that have achieved academically or in leadership roles. Donors to the Achieve Partnership scholarship program will have the option of directing their gifts towards one or more of the scholarship programs listed below:
  • University Honors Scholarship - honor scholarship recipients must have graduated in the top 15% of their high school class, scored a minimum of 1100 on the SAT or a minimum of 24 on the ACT, be fulltime students in a degree-granting course of study.
  • Student Leader Scholarship - leader scholarship recipients must be first year students, have graduated in the top 50% of their high school class, be fulltime students in a degree-granting course of study, been active in clubs and organizations on and off campus, and participated in community service projects.
  • Income-based Scholarship – income-based scholarship recipients must be a resident of Aransas, Nueces or San Patricio County, have graduated in the top 50% of their high school class or if a Transfer student, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, meet the low-moderate income definition as set by the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).

University scholarship recipients receive $2,000 a year for four years. In order to renew their scholarship each year, recipients must maintain a specified GPA.
