Class of 2006

Purpose

The class agent program is designed to bridge the gap from student to young alumni through involvement and giving. One of the fundamental goals of institutional advancement is to create a culture of giving back to those who might have helped you  and to our campus community from the day they enter the university onward. The goals of the class agent program are to increase young alumni participation in University events and to increase the percentage of alumni who give back to our Island University

The impact this program has on alumni involvement and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is extensive. The class agent’s contact with their class fosters a continual flow of information between alumni and the university. The percentage of alumni supporting the university is crucial for evaluation in U.S. News and World Report, potential for financial support from foundations and a high percentage of alumni giving back to their university financially can yield more favorable responses from philanthropic organizations. Support by young alumni increases the value of the A&M University-Corpus Christi degree and allows alumni to give back to their alma mater in honor of the donors who paved the way for them to achieve their educational goals.
