Wave of the Future $15 million campaign propelled by gifts and leadership

State Rep. Gene Seaman presents $7,200 to University President Robert R. Furgason, the equivalent of Seaman's legislative salary. Looking on is Student Foundation President Celeste Jennings. Student scholarships will be funded with $6,000 of Seaman's gift with the remainder going to the President's Council.

Winn, Garnett T. Brooks and Vice President for Institutional Advancement Ken DeDominicis. Flournoy is the latest major donor to the capital campaign with funding for the Lucien and Maxine Flournoy Excellence Fund.

Bert Quintanilla of the Selena Foundation (right) presents $10,000 to Ken DeDominicis, vice president for Institutional Advancement at A&M-Corpus Christi, as the 1998 addition to the Selena Endowment Scholarship. The presentation was made in the Selena Memorial Garden at the Dr. Hector P. Garcia Plaza on campus.
