Inauguration Week Activities
Dr. Flavius Killebrew’s inauguration week was launched when he threw the first pitch at the Corpus Christi Hooks game on Saturday, September 3. The festivities continued with a Student Leadership Luncheon on Tuesday and a student picnic on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, at the high-powered State of the University Luncheon, more than 600 University supporters got a first look at a new ten-year strategic plan, Momentum 2015, and helped raise $37,000 for the Achieve Partnership scholarship program.

The celebration continued on Thursday at a packed University Center ballroom for the faculty and staff picnic. Friday evening featured an investiture delegate reception at the South Texas Institute for the Arts.

And on Saturday morning, Dr. Killebrew was invested by The Texas A&M University System Chancellor Robert D. McTeer, Jr. and System Board of Regents Chair John D. White. A reception followed at the University Center. That evening, the President’s Island Ball brought the week to conclusion.
