Lilly Flores Janecek named Public Affairs Director Vice President for Institutional Advancement Dr. S. Trent Hill announced Lilly Flores Janecek as Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi's new Public Affairs Director effective May 25, 2000. Hill added, "We are excited to have Janecek as a member of the Institutional Advancement team. We know she brings with her over 20 years media experience and a creative vision for the future of the Public Affairs department." Janecek served as news director for KIII-TV for two years prior to joining the University. She was also a longtime anchor and a reporter for the local television station. The Texas A&I-Kingsville graduate had this to say, "I'm thrilled to become a part of a team that is creating a first-class university for our community. As a working journalist, I have watched and admired how Dr. Furgason has charted a new course the the University, and I look forward to contributing to those efforts. A&M-Corpus Christi has had a really positive impact on Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend.
