Scholarships are a critical resource in providing deserving students with the means to an education. Without the support of generous individuals, many students would lose the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of achievement. The mission of the Endowed Scholarship Program is to educate students and ensure they reach their full potential to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Dr. John “Jack” DuganPhilanthropist Dr. John “Jack” Dugan and his family recognize the importance and need for scholarships and fully support the University’s endowed scholarship program. When Mrs. Susan Dugan passed away after battling cancer, the Dugan family decided to honor her memory by establishing the Susan Dugan Memorial Scholarship Endowment.

“ My wife was a teacher and had a passion for higher education,” Jack said. “Endowed scholarships are the gifts that keep on giving, and my family believes there is no better investment than to invest in students’ lives.”

As a past scholarship recipient himself, Dr. Dugan knows firsthand the impact of receiving scholarships. “I would not have been able to complete my education without scholarship support,” he explained. “Scholarships can change lives, and it is truly rewarding to know that the Dugan family has a small part in helping students fulfill their dreams.”

“I believe this scholarship serves Susan’s memory well and hopefully, students will perpetuate and honor her life’s work by being great professionals and carrying on the tradition,” he said.
