The “Island Waves” student newspaper won eight awards and “The Windward Review,” literary magazine earned another three citations at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association (TIPA) Conference held Saturday, April 5, in College Station.

    Monica Cornell – Honorable Mention Newspaper News Photo “Demonstrations”
    Elizabeth Perez – Honorable Mention Newspaper General Column “Oh Snap”
    Edith Delgado – Honorable Mention Newspaper News Story “Mosque Shooting”
    Kat Kaub – Honorable Mention Newspaper Illustration (non-photo) “Cover”
    Kat Kaub – Honorable Mention Newspaper Feature Page Design “Grindhouse”
