Internet University Founder Speaks During University’s Martin Luther King Jr. Observance

Dr. Joe Martin’s speech on Wednesday, Jan. 23, in the University Center Lone Star Ballroom echoed the theme of this year’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration “The Dream is in Your Hands.”

Award-winning author, professor and educational consultant, Dr. Joe Martin, was the keynote speaker at the University’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration held Wednesday, Jan. 23, in the University Center, Lone Star Ballroom. Martin is founder and president of RealWorld University, an Internet resource center designed to help students meet the personal and professional challenges of college and life.

His speech echoed the theme of this year’s celebration, “The Dream is in Your Hands.” The celebration, which included musical performances, was sponsored by the African American Cultural Society and the Islander Cultural Alliance.
