A&M System Board of Regents Chairman Addresses Graduates

Bill Jones, chairman of The Texas A&M System Board of Regents, was the keynote speaker at the 2007 fall commencement Saturday, Dec. 15, at the American Bank Center arena.

Jones was appointed to the board in 2003 and became chairman earlier this year. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Texas A&M University and his juris doctorate from Baylor University School of Law.

He is a partner in the Austin law firm of Vinson and Elkins, L.L.P. Jones addressed around 700 new graduates, their families and friends. The ceremony included students from the Colleges of Business, Education, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Health Sciences, and Science and Technology.
